All About Fresh to the Chef

Our focus and our passion has been and will always be fresh produce.

Fresh to the Chef is a locally owned family business that has been operating out of Tauranga since 2006. The company started processing fruit and vegetables when we saw a need in the market, and Fresh to the Chef has been providing chefs with a wide range of fresh prepared products ever since. In 2008 we added wholesale fruit and vegetables into the mix and over time, to keep up with customer demand, we have added fish and seafood, meat and poultry, deli items and frozen food to our product range.


We like to be able to keep up with our customers fresh and exciting menus and are always happy to source specialsed lines. We supply produce to many local Tauranga and Mount Maunganui cafes and restaurants 7 days a week and also supply the Coromandel, Rotorua and the greater Bay of Plenty 6 days a week.

We are passionate about fruit and vegetables and being a part of sustainable industry and we promote eating seasonally using fresh ingredients. We buy local where possible to support local growers and businesses. We are fortunate in the Bay of Plenty there is an abundance of great produce at our doorsteps.
